Do you wish you had a glimpse into what your baby is thinking or what they want and need? Help your little one share their thoughts with you by learning how to effectively use sign language. Sign + Play teaches babies and toddlers simple, easy-to-do gestures for communicating with their parents and caregivers. Using signs gives your child a way to communicate with you long before they have words. In this class, you and your child will learn signs across many practical and fun themes. Signs are introduced while playing games, singing songs and finger plays, exploring toys and story time. Parents are provided with strategies to make signing at home successful. Add in parachute and instrument time and you have a class that is both fun and informative. Come Sign + Play with your child!

I already miss our mom’s group!! Wish it went on for many many months!!
-Joy (mom)

This is an intimate group for both first and second-time mothers and their babies. We meet weekly for 5 weeks with loose talking points each day and spend a lot of time talking about how life changes when you have a baby!

These topics include:

  • Birth stories

  • Changes in how mothers see themselves

  • How to find time for oneself

  • Changes in your relationships, from intimate to professional ones

  • How life will change with a new baby

  • Breastfeeding and other feeding issues

  • Sleeping issues

  • Helping fussy babies

  • Understanding a baby’s separation anxiety

  • Returning to work

  • Help finding the right child care.

In addition, other topics important to the group are added as they come up. As the group continues, moms talk openly and intimately with each other about their personal situations and find support from this amazing group of women that are going through the same experiences at the same time. This group provides an opportunity for mothers to spend time with other mothers and for young babies to begin ‘socializing’. It really is a must for any mom with a new baby!

Postnatal Yoga

This Postnatal Yoga Class will occur every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month. Upcoming dates: May 17, June 7, June 21, July 5, July 19

Postnatal Yoga is a style of yoga that addresses the physical, mental and emotional challenges of being a new mother, as well as the aftermath of pregnancy. Classes specifically concentrate on rebuilding core strength by focusing on restoring Diastasis Recti (Abdominal Separation) and pelvic floor health; releasing tension in the upper and lower body by incorporating both active and passive poses synced with mindful breath. Classes also address common issues and concerns that may arise in this new chapter of life.

Some benefits of Postnatal Yoga include:

• Strengthening your core and pelvic floor

• Addressing your posture

• Restoring and nourishing the internal organs

• Relieving back pain

• Calming the nervous system

• Boosting the immune system

• And of course, making new mom friends

*This class is suitable for any postpartum stage. Moms are welcome to bring their babies and toddlers to class.

Led by Eurika Jankauskaite, she is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She holds certifications in both Prenatal/Postnatal and Restorative Yoga. Eurika’s teaching style is based on Classical Hatha with a fusion of contemporary branches to best serve the body and mind of today’s modern world. For Eurika, it is important to approach yoga by practicing it in a non-competitive space and create an environment where it can be practiced safely. Inside her classroom the space is used to empower and inspire all to take responsibility for their own physical and mental health through the practice of yoga. She strongly believes that yoga is in everybody and yoga is for everybody. Yoga is a very powerful gateway to one’s personal transformation and it will embrace you no matter where you are at on your personal journey.
